As a kid I remember my mom making home made beef stroganoff, but up until now, I’ve not had any luck finding anything comparable. When our children were younger, hamburger helper’s version of stroganoff, but it just never met the standards my mom set on my taste buds years ago.
This creation was really close to my mom’s version. Although she used ground beef, I amped it up with some sliced top sirloin. This was creamy and the mushrooms, onions, and garlic were full of flavor.
